Left Ear + Torso

Summary

This is the dataset used in the AAMD 2017 Plan Study and publicly available via the ProKnow Quality Systems website.

This patient dataset exhibits a massive skin cancer of the left ear and neck with positive lymph nodes. The left ear lesion’s biopsy showed an ulcerated, invasive, moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma with extensive necrosis. The tumor extended to the specimen margins.

This patient also has two basal cell carcinomas on the right upper and lower chest, including mid reticular dermis. The tumor extends to lateral and deep surgical margins.

All targets exhibit shallow regions up to and including the external/skin contour, so boluses are required to achieve adequate dose coverage.
